Product Description

The Zoom UAC-232 is Zoom's first dedicated 2-in/2-out USB 2.0 designed specifically for content creators, streamers, podcasters as well as home project studios. The UAC-232 features 32-bit float point recording, studio-quality preamps, and intuitive mixing controls. Dual AD converters with 32-bit float point/192 kHz technology allow you to capture low-noise recordings without clipping regardless of how loud or quiet your performance is. The UAC-232 features a compact design for easy portability. Set it up in your space vertically or horizontally, or affix it to a microphone stand with included hook-and-loop straps. It can be bus-powered from your computer or through an external USB-C power source (available separately) when used with a Lightning-enabled iOS device.

LOW-LATENCY 32-BIT FLOAT TECHNOLOGY

Zoom’s UAC-232 features a 32-bit float point making it ideal for recording artists and engineers seeking ultra-low latency and superior sound quality without the need to manually set gain levels. 32-bit floating point technology is used to capture and process high-quality audio signals with a high degree of accuracy and dynamic range. It allows for the representation of audio signals with a much greater precision than other formats, such as 16-bit or 24-bit, by allowing for a greater number of possible values to represent the amplitude of the audio signal.

The dynamic range of 32-bit floating point technology allows for the capture of very quiet sounds with a high level of detail, as well as very loud sounds without distortion. This is particularly important in recording music and especially spoken word applicaitons, where maintaining the dynamic range and tonal accuracy is critical for producing high-quality audio. This makes the UAC-232 perfect for capturing the full dynamic range of podcasters, voice actors, and narrators.

F-SERIES PREAMPS

The UAC-232 employs Zoom's F-Series low-noise preamps which are designed to provide high-quality, low-noise amplification of audio signals. These are the same preamps found in Zoom's F-Series field recorders, renowned for providing a high level of gain with very low noise, allowing for the capture of very low-level audio signals with high accuracy and clarity. They use high-quality components and circuit design to minimize distortion and noise, resulting in a clean and transparent sound.

STREAMLINE YOUR WORKFLOW

The UAC-232’s Mix Control software makes controlling your setup a breeze. You can easily modify I/O routing, activate loopback, and control input and monitoring levels. Either route directly to your DAW using the Music mode or combine all inputs into one signal for streaming applications by using the Streaming mode. Furthermore, you can combine input audio and playback from your computer and route it back to your software. In so doing, you can enhance your streams with background music, or have an instrumental track for live vocals!

MONITORING AND CONNECTIVITY

Use the Direct Monitor switch to send the input signal directly to your headphones while routing the same signal to your DAW or streaming software. Mix Control allows you to adjust volume and pan for your direct monitor feed.

The UAC-232 USB Audio Converter features two XLR/TRS combo inputs for mic or line level with +48V phantom power available for condenser microphones. Use the Guitar/Bass button to activate Hi-Z for recording guitar directly. To listen on studio monitors, the UAC-232 includes two TRS main outputs with volume control.

Monitor louder and clearer with the 100 milliwatt headphone output. Enough power to drive the most demanding headphones with no distortion.

The MIDI in/out allows you to connect to external MIDI gear such as drum machines, synths and keyboards.
