xln-audio-addictive-drums-2-vintage-dry
XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2: Vintage Dry - Electronic Delivery

There is a huge revival of that 70s sound brought to you by chart-topping artists like Daft Punk, Miike Snow and Justice. With XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2: Vintage Dry, you, too, can have those fat, dry, and deliciously authentic drum sounds in your productions.

To get the proper sound, XLN Audio began work on Vintage Dry by modifying Studio INGRID's 1968 Ludwig Silver Sparkle kit. They tuned and dampened the individual drums using authentic 70s methods: the kick was stuffed with a pillow and a large sheet of felt. Newspaper was taped to the snare heads and more felt sheets were pinned to the toms. To ensure sonic authenticity, they only used microphones from the 1960-70s (Coles, Neumann, Sennheiser and Bang & Olufsen) through the studio’s vintage API console.

Vintage Dry includes 30 mix-ready presets that give you instant access to a variety of sounds ranging from softer early 70s folk to punchy late 70s disco. The Addictive Drums 2 engine makes it easy to modify any of these presets to suit your exact musical needs.

Authentic 70s kit and studio

Period-correct gear and techniques

Fat, dry, and crisp sound

Specifications:

System:

PC: Windows 7 or Windows 8 (32/64 bit)

Mac: OS X 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 (32/64 bit)

2 GB RAM - 4GB or more recommended

Approximately 700 MB of free disk space

High-speed internet connection (during installation only)

Supported Formats:

VST (32 and 64 bit)

AU (32 and 64 bit)

AAX (32 and 64 bit)

Standalone (Windows and OS X)

XLN Audio actively tests Addictive Drums 2 on the following host software:

SONAR X2, X3

Pro Tools 10, 11

Cubase 5, 6, 7

Live 8, 9

Logic Pro 8, 9, X

Important note about the Addictive Drums 2 engine:

The Addictive Drums 2 engine is included with every Addictive Drums 2 ADpak and Bundle.
