Product Description
The BL 40 Modulimiter was originally designed for broadcast use in AM radio stations, and acts like a combination of the solid state opto-cell LA-3A and the classic FET 1176 units.A T4 opto-cell acts as the RMS detector, and provides the first stage of gain reduction. This is followed by the FET limiter which acts as the peak detector. It features three VU meters for RMS, Peak Limiting, and Output levels. It also has a 'phase optimizer,' which automatically reverses phase in the event negative peaks exceed positive peaks.
