Universal Audio Bock 251 Large Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone (Demo Deal)

Product Description

In 2020, Universal Audio enlisted David Bock of Bock Audio to design a new line of premium tube and FET condenser microphones based on his most cherished designs. Manufactured in Santa Cruz, California, the Universal Audio Bock 251 is a large-diaphragm, multi-pattern tube condenser microphone built with high-quality through-hole components and timeless UA design for the professional engineer and recording artist.

The 251 has become a Holy Grail microphone due to its incredible tone, and has been used on countless great recordings over the last 50+ years. It is also one of the most-replicated microphones in history, a testament to its enduring status as a piece of immortal gear. The UA Bock 251 builds on this legacy as an authentic replica made with premium components for ultimate reliability. The transformer has been re-engineered for a wider frequency response and greater headroom. Like the original, the Bock 251 also features switchable cardioid, omnidirectional, and bidirectional (figure-8) polar patterns for maximum versatility in the studio. It ships complete with a shock mount, power supply unit, 20’ cable with Tuchel connectors, a signature wooden box, and retro-style suitcase. Add the Bock 251 to your mic locker today and use it to capture astonishing vocal tracks or for detailed recordings of any instrument!
