The Tegeler Mastering Bundle - the ultimate mastering signal chain - is available at this discount for a limited time only!

VTC VARI-MU TUBE COMPRESSOR

The Tegeler Audio VTC Vari Tube Compressor is built after the Vari-Mu principle, like it was used in the Fairchild 670 compressor, has a particularly distinct sound which sounds very musical and already adds the finishing touch to a lot of mixes.

Many hours of fitting, hearing and testing were spent on the VTC. The VTC starts the compression very gently and only intervenes more strongly at higher compression. A high-pass filter in the analysis circuit reduces the influence of low frequencies on the compression. Together with the appropriate attack and release settings, these measures ensure that the VTC is able to compress the sum without audible pumping, even with a compression of up to 6 dB.

The signal passes through a total of 3 transformers and 4 triode tubes per channel in the VTC.

Why is that important? Tubes (especially triodes) add overtones to the signal that the human ear perceives as pleasant and improves the perception of the individual sound sources. The individual instruments receive an additional presence through the tube. Transformers convert the current to a magnetic field and back as current and their non-linearities to provide a pleasant compression of the sound before it is compressed. The bass becomes tidier and more defined. The treble is pleasantly rounded off.

EQP-1 2-CHANNEL DUAL MONO CLASSIC TUBE EQUALIZER

The EQP-1 was modeled after classic vintage equalizers with passive components (condenser and inductor) in the EQ section, which accounts for its special sound.

The EQP-1 consists of three parts: Bass Boost and Cut, Treble Boost with adjustable bandwidth and a High-Frequency Cut. Voices sound silky, instruments step out of the mix and are clearly locatable without one turning them up. Deep frequency instruments like bass and bass drums get the necessary boost without sounding boomy. If you raise up the treble, it doesn't sound like lifted highs, but everything simply sounds fresher.

The EQP-1 is equipped with a tube stage and high-quality input and output transformers.

Besides the open and airy sound of the equalizer, the signal will get more density and additional presence from the tube and the transformers. The low end becomes more transparent and defined. The highs become more rounded and pleasant to the ears. This effect will already take place as soon as the device is in the signal path and even if the equalizer is not used.

FEATURES:

Low boost/attenuation (Low shelf): 20 Hz, 30 Hz, 60 Hz, 100 Hz

High boost (Peak with variable bandwidth): 3 kHz, 4 kHz, 5 kHz, 6 kHz, 8 kHz, 10 kHz, 12 kHz, 16 kHz, 20 kHz

High attenuation (High shelf): 5 kHz, 10 kHz, 20 kHz

Balanced input and output

Input and output transformer

Bypass switch

Internal power supply

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0658/8848/5479/files/tegeler-mastering-bundle_206635_1_b31d8c2f-fcfe-46c1-a55b-09620aa4bc64.jpg?v=1787095372
