The E49 uses a specially designed Soundelux SteadyState fixed-bias type tube amplifier that is similar to the original but has lower noise and distortion. The output transformer provides a correct impedance match between the E49 and any mic preamp input and, compared to transformerless designs, has lower intermodulation distortion and improved frequency linearity in the low and middle frequencies.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIncredibly versatile with continuously variable polar pattern\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSoundelux designed the E49 with a universal outboard power supply and a continuous variable polar pattern control that adjusts from figure-eight to cardioid and then to full omnidirectional.
