Product Description
Big sound in a little package. Sound Devices Mixpre-D is a stand-alone audio interface, and the perfect companion for on site recording. Built tough for the road with extruded aluminum chassis and metal connectors, or can be connected to your favorite DAW through a USB connection, and record up to 24-bit, 96 kHz audio.
Mixpre-D is equipped with two “Unclippable” Mic/Line preamps, ensuring the best possible sound when out in the field. If more channels are needed, the return can be used as two additional inputs, also with selectable pan and level control. The option for a Mid-Side matrix allows you to record in stereo with the flexibility of changing the stereo perspective later on.
Each channel has the option for 48 V or 12 V Phantom Power, and a high pass filter, with the option of 80 Hz, or 160 Hz rolloff. An internal slate microphone and tone oscillator are included, making it easy to sync audio to picture, and a dedicated mic-level output on locking TA3 connector for unbalanced camera inputs. Mixpre-D can be run off an external 10 - 18 VDC power supply, or stand-alone with AA batteries.
