Many USB microphones have built-in electronics and converters that colour and add noise to the sound, offering totally inaccurate recordings. By basing the sE X1 USB on their critically-acclaimed sE X1 condenser model, complete with the same gold-sputtered capsule and handcrafted construction, sE Electronics was able to produce a super high-quality USB microphone that offers a noticably higher accuracy level than similar mics on the market.
