Product Description

The sE Electronics DM1 Dynamite is an active inline preamp designed to provide +28 dB of gain for ribbon or dynamic microphones. Simply insert the DM1 between your microphone and preamp to boost the signal from passive mics without adding noise or coloration.

THE PERFECT COMPANION FOR PASSIVE MICS

For decades, condenser microphones have been the go-to choice for recording intimate performances, however they don’t always provide the desired color and character. Sometimes a record calls for the dark, smokey tones of a vintage ribbon mic, or the punchy midrange of a dynamic mic. But trying to capture quiet performances often results in weak, noisy signals — until now.

The DM1 is the perfect way to boost the signal from a passive mic. With a cutting-edge, Class A design and hand-selected high-quality FETs, the DM1 offers minimal self-noise. Equipped with dedicated output buffer amplifier, the DM1 consistently delivers +28 dB of gain, regardless of the connection load.

ROAD-WORTHY RELIABILITY

Featuring the lowest output impedance in its class, the DM1 can drive long cable runs without RF interference, buzz and hum—allowing you to run lines from the stage to FOH or to far-off iso-booths in the studio.

The DM1 features a rugged, roadworthy, all-metal design with top-of-the-line manufacturing standards, providing rock-solid reliability demanding on-stage applications or in difficult environments.

For best results, it is recommended that you plug the DM1 directly into the output of your microphone. While you can connect a microphone to the DM1 using an XLR cable, shorter cables will result in better performance.
