The matte gray Schoeps CMC1L21 Wide Cardioid Condenser Microphone Set features the ultracompact, space-saving Colette Series modular open cardioid condenser microphone. The set includes the CMC 1 L amplifier, MK 21 Wide Cardioid capsule, K5 LU, SGC, B 5 popscreen, matte gray, premium caseen.

CMC 1 MINIATURE MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER

The matte gray Schoeps CMC 1 is a miniature Colette Series microphone amplifier offering uncompromising high fidelity in a lightweight and ultracompact form factor for studio recording, broadcast, and live stage applications. Presented as an alternative to the renowned Schoeps CMC 6 amplifier, the CMC 1 is compatible with all existing MK mic capsules and Colette active accessories (available separately). It features a balanced XLR 3-pin output, compliance with 12 or 48V phantom power, and low current consumption. Its Schoeps RFI Shield provides high immunity from RF interference for a clean, low-noise signal. The CMC 1 supports the high maximum SPLs tolerated by the various MK mic capsules (available separately). A stand adapter is supplied with the CMC 1.

MK 21 WIDE CARDIOID CAPSULE

The directivity of the wide cardioid lies between the omni and the cardioid. The idea behind their development is to combine the advantages of these two patterns. The low-frequency behaviour of the MK 21 is better than that of the cardioid, and proximity effect is less pronounced. The wide cardioid polar pattern is extremely consistent across the frequency range. Laterally-arriving direct sound and reflections are picked up without added coloration. The MK 21 is a very well-liked capsule. It is preferred when a slight directional effect and a warm, natural sound image are desired. Over the years it has become an integral part of the audio engineer's toolkit.
