Product Description
The Schoeps CMC 12 Microphone Set is a complete unidirectional condenser microphone set including a CMC 1 amplifier with MK 2 omnidirectional capsule, pop screen, clamp and wooden box.
CMC 1 Amplifier
The CMC 1 is our new, small Colette microphone amplifier, about one-third the size and 40% lighter than the CMC 6. It is compatible with all components of the Colette system and can be used in place of the CMC 6 without compromise, for all applications in which the size and weight of the microphone play a role.
At SCHOEPS, “uncompromising miniaturization” means that the electrical characteristics of the CMC 1 are equal to, or even better than, those of the CMC 6.
FEATURES:

- Very low current consumption: 2.0 mA at 48 Volts
- Operates on 48 V or 12 V phantom power

- Fully compatible with all existing MK capsules and Colette active accessories such as the CUT 60 and RC tubes

MK 2 CAPSULE
The linear frequency response of the MK 2 with respect to frontally incident sound waves results in a very natural sound for near-field recordings (i.e. in close proximity to the sound source). This capsule can be set up very close to the sound source without sounding too brilliant or harsh.
The MK 2 is often used for acoustical measurement, an application for which it has gained a considerable reputation.
A mechanical adapter (type AMBK 1, from 20 mm to 1" diameter) is available for calibration with B&K devices. Please note that because of dimensional tolerances, only the nickel-finish version of the MK 2 can be used with this adapter.

SCHOEPS COLETTE
The Colette series was introduced back in 1973 and has since been made up of mutually compatible modules that are constantly being updated and supplemented. No other microphone system has been on the market for such a long time. The Colette series invented the modularity in microphone technology and is considered more than ever before to be the best small-diaphragm microphone system.
Microphones from the modular Colette series are comprised of a microphone capsule screwed onto an amplification unit. Any capsule can be combined with any amplifier. Active accessories can be inserted between capsule and amplifier if desired. The RC active extension tube in particular graces many high-profile events with its stylish appearance. Due to its modular nature, the Colette system offers a large variety of options, for a wide range of use cases.
