This usually leads to a clear coloration. To overcome that, the SCHOEPS Parabolic Dish Set is a matched system. The microphone position is designed to produce a smooth frequency response (unusual for a parabolic system) for the three recommended CCM microphone types. Although the frequency response is now smooth, it is not yet even, so must still be equalized. This is automatically achieved with Schoeps' plug-in ParabolEQ. The plug-in performs filtering based on the entered application parameters, producing a flat frequency response between 100 Hz and 20 kHz. The correction curve is visualized accordingly.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003ch3\u003eCCM 21\u003c\/h3\u003e  \u003cp\u003eThe Schoeps CCM 21 has a directional pattern between omni and cardioid. The basic idea in designing the CCM 21 was to combine the advantages of the cardioid with those of the omni. This results in a pickup pattern which blends the two sets of characteristics in a useful manner. It has fuller and more extended low frequency response than a cardioid, with less proximity effect, while attenuating side- and rear-incident sound less than a cardioid.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eThe CCM 21’s orientation is less critical than with a cardioid, since direct sound arriving on axis and reverberant or other sounds off axis are both reproduced accurately.
