Another of the classic ribbons from RCA. Great on guitar amps - the dual layer filter protects the ribbon from high SPLs, so record bass cabs and drums without fear!The BK-5 is not as large as the RCA 77, with a flat frequency response from 50 to 15,000 Hz. Its original application was for control rooms in radio and TV broadcast facilities. It can be stand mounted or hung from its built-in boom adapter, and a matching transformer switch is mounted in the microphone body.
