Product Description

The Quantec Yardstick 2496 S Stereo/Surround Room Simulator features 2 digital AES3 input channels, 6 digital AES3 output channels, with a plug-in sample rate up to 216 kHz (incl. ±12.5% varispeed).

The Quantec 2496 Yardstick is a stereo/surround room simulator that adds space and dimension to your project. Providing up to two inputs and six outputs through standard QRS plug-in at 96 kHz, and 2-in/4-out at 192 kHz. 24-bit/192 kHz detail is available on all audio signal paths. Eight front panel bar graph LEDs help with visual levels on your audio channels.

The 2496 provides the highest level of sonic transparency while maintaining high density of the signal path with the lowest coloration possible. If working with thunder or earthquake effects in post production, choose the subsonic option or DC Transparency to ensure the most power from the lower frequencies.

Offering the lowest latency available (1ms) for the most transparent integration to the audio path. The two inputs are uniquely phase-insensitive where the three outputs pairs provide 50% correlation, which can be adjusted depending on the project. All floating point DSPs provide an unlimited internal dynamic range.

The front panel provides access to the Mute, Solo and Bypass functions, each with individual illuminated LED buttons. Access and change parameters with the 14 plus/minus toggles, and for ultimate control of the 2496, up to 27 total controls and 15 plug-in banks can be accessed through the front panel.

Control the parameters through web-browser based remote control on your iPhone or iPad.

You can also use the MIDI connections for remote control, or instantly recall all session parameters and access the dynamic automation functions. The internal calendar clock automatically timestamps user presets.
