Output REV

Output REV is a revolution in software instruments, dedicated to flipping your perception of audio in reverse. More than your standard DAW reverse function, REV is a four-part instrument packed with a world of sound based entirely on reverse elements for producers, composers, artists, DJs and sound designers. Each of the 4 parts of REV have their own unique sound engine loaded with over 14GB of content including synths, real instruments, multilayered organic pads, loops, rises, pulses, swells, stutters and more.

1,000+ Reverse Instruments

REV comes with over 1,000 presets, using real instruments, multiple layers, playable in reverse and in real time. Use any of the built-in presets or start from scratch and build your own. All presets can be customized, saved, and shared among other REV users.

Play Free or Lock to Tempo

One of REV's unique features is the ability to lock all reverse sounds to tempo. Notes can be set to whole note, half note, or quarter note durations.

Live Recorded Loops

The REV loops engine gives you thousands of possibilities all of which were recorded live. All loops lock to tempo, are adjustable by speed and are spread across two octaves. Play multiple loops at once, add stutters, filters or FX to make it your own.

Perfectly Timed Rises

Rises can be used in a variety of different genres and are very prominent in electronic music, trailer music or any song that needs a nice build up or transition. Rises come in all forms and are adjustable by key and speed. Just like the other engines the REV rises engine does all of the work for you by locking to tempo so you don't have to do any manual editing.

Stutters, Filters & FX

Break up and customize your patches significantly with built-in volume and pitch stutter FX. These can be synced to tempo or adjusted freely. REV also comes with built FX and FX presets which let you customize filters, envelopes, distortion, saturation, lo-fi, chorus, delays, reverb, EQ & more. These can all be automated and also triggered by keys on the keyboard.

Whether you’re a producer or composer, performing artist or sound designer- it’s the pulse that often becomes the center of your track. Output Signal is now your gateway there.

Signal’s content is massive – including over 40GB of multi-dynamic and round-robin sources. The engine combines 4 separate rhythms, all locked to your DAW and each controlled individually. These can be different rhythms playing together or combine them for one great big fat pulse. The combination of warm, fat synthetic sounds and beautiful organic instruments make for something new and not yet heard. Some of the coolest sounds combine the grit of synths and the depth of real instruments.

Under the hood, Signal brings together every form of pulse making you could think of; Arpeggiators, LFO’s, step sequencers and “Looper” (a unique looping engine designed specific to Signal). All patches, or Pulse Instruments, are organized by tag in the preset menu, making it very easy to access exactly what you want and saving hours of cycling through sounds. Each Pulse Instrument features its own unique set of central sliders. We’ve all become accustomed to products with one big central knob - Signal has 4 and each is built for that particular Pulse Instrument. Use the sliders to make the sound your own, add continuous movement, assign it to a real knob for live use or even use our custom Lemur or Touch OSC template to tweak with an iPad. Sliders are not just effect sends, these are macros controlling multiple parameters at once. For example with a touch of a slider you can morph rhythms, control multiple filters and infinite effects combinations. And of course, everything is editable.

Output didn’t want to leave any stone unturned and the result is an endlessly fun instrument with countless options. It’s dense for anyone that wants to tweak, but also simple and clean for those that want to jump right in.
