Product Description

Add sonic space to your room with the Output Diffuser. Quadratic diffusers are the most predictable solution to prohibit certain frequencies from directly bouncing between two parallel surfaces, giving smaller rooms the illusion of space. De-Fi Diffusers are made with sustainably sourced wood and made in the United States.

Output Acoustic Panels offer a complete high performance system for improving the sound of your studio that's aesthetically on point. Output partnered with sound science experts De-Fi to craft the perfect Acoustic Panels that make your studio sound and look great. Your room is a sonic hall of mirrors, and sound bounces off of hard surfaces like light does glass. This clouds the accuracy of your system, ruining soundstage focus and tonal balance. Don’t compromise your investment in audio gear by letting your space wreck your sound—you need acoustic treatment.

PERFORMANCE THROUGH INTELLIGENT DESIGN

De-Fi Eco Acoustic Panels are able to match and exceed the performance of much thicker and chunkier solutions. This is thanks to the system’s integrated mount design. During the holistic design process, the panel surfaces were treated as if we were designing a speaker or a microphone.

Instead of catching sound like a microphone diaphragm would, the goal was to absorb sound using big, floating diaphragms, built out of materials to treat specific frequencies, while also tuning air gaps.

The Diffuser uses an open quadratic design, because it can be tuned to treat specific frequencies by adjusting the dimensions of the front wells. We left the side baffles open with the angled slats and allowed sound to enter behind the outer wells. This added distances that act much like the front wells, improving overall effectiveness. The angled outer slats diffuse higher frequencies in different directions, more than other quadratic designs.
