For those who never go further than switching from preset to preset or can't stand the idea of digging into a complex machine to get the best out of it, OHM Force Symptohm might not be the best choice. However, for those creatively-minded of you in line with the Ohm Force spirit, here is the sonic equivalent of a goldmine.

New SyncGrain synth engine

Think of Symptohm as a granular synth/sample player. Its engine is made of 2 SyncGrain Oscillators (SGOs), mixed with a ring-modulatable sub oscillator and a noise generator. Each SGO uses a single looping audio sample as a waveform source, and can be stretched, pitch-shifted, and even played backwards.

Not for the faint hearted

Forget about easy analogue sounding patch or ultra realistic emulation: the 1000+ featured presets can't suggest you even the slightest idea of the mind-blowing sounds you can achieve with Symptohm provided you take the time to read through the manual and are not afraid to explore new approaches to synthesis.

Quad Frohmage embedded

Symptohm's greatest strength is its ability to transform and modulate sound in a manner unheard-of before. Besides the innovative synth engine, it is perhaps the integration of Quad Frohmage's filter section which gives you this level of possibilities over forty parameters have their own LFOs and ADSR envelopes.
