Each module has been recapped, thoroughly cleaned, and any faulty components or switches replaced as necessary. Worn panels have been cleaned, and re-silkscreened if needed. The power supplies have been recapped and patchbays cleaned. All modules have undergone testing on our state of the art Audio Precision rig to ensure they are at factory spec.
To back up our work, we provide the only 1 year warranty on vintage consoles in the world. If any issue develops amongst the power supplies or any of the console's removable modules within 1 year of shipment, Vintage King will cover the repair free of charge. The secret being that once we are through restoring a beauty like this to the level of detail we are known for, they are extremely reliable! After we are through with restoration of a vintage Neve console, it’s once again extremely reliable for hassle free on sessions for years to come - as well as a great investment. Additionally, our service adds to the resale value of the console.
What's it like in the driver’s seat of an 8058? Nothing short of a dream. Being the most popular sized 80-series Neve due to it's accessible footprint, the 8058 brings all of the punch, warmth, harmonics, and excitement of an 80 series console with ample versatility and the most accessible price point of all later 80 series Neve consoles between the most common offerings at the time, the 28 ch. 8058, 32 ch. 8068 and 40 ch. 8078. Its standard 31102 preamp/eq module has the Class A microphone preamp section of the famous Neve 1073 coupled with the deluxe, more flexible EQ of the Neve 1084 module. Routing is flexible enough for even the most demanding engineers once integrated in a modern DAW environment. The sheer sound and vibe of a console like this makes the job of engineering a world-class sounding record only that much easier; this console works with you and not against you in everything that it brings to a session.
The rarity and modern relevancy of these supreme audio consoles has ensured that they continue to appreciate in value over the years, and no doubt that trend will continue decades from now. A vintage Neve console restored by Vintage King is a sound investment, and much more fun than the stock market! If you have any questions about this console, please contact our team of expert audio consultants for further assistance.
