The very long neck isolates the capsule from the amplifier, thus preventing any coloration of the sound field.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey have a very low noise floor with a nice sweet open top-end, and the low end of a U47. They are very rare with only about 90 ever produced at Neumann Berlin between 1949 until 1954. Their frequency response is approximately 30Hz to 18k!
