Product Description

The Neumann KM84 has become a real favorite for classical music recording because of its smooth and faithful reproduction, but it's also known as an excellent choice for drum overheads. Also nice on snare, hats, acoustic guitar and piano.

This KM 84 was previously used in the film scoring suites of CTS-Lansdowne Studios at the Music Centre in Wembley, London, England. Closed down in 2000, CTS was the world's first all-digital studio back in 1985, and long specialized in the recording of orchestras for film scores. Famous scores recorded at Music Centre include most of the James Bond films from the 70s to the 90s, multiple Pink Panther and Superman films, Murder on the Orient Express, The Omen, The Bride, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Shakespeare in Love. Along with orchestral recording, Music Centre was also a popular mixing room - the Who's 'Who Are You' album was mixed there, among many others.
