Applications include audio-visual presentations,\r\nsmall- to medium-sized main sound reinforcement systems, fill,\r\ndelay, effects, under-balcony or under-canopy coverage and\r\ndistributed systems.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eMeyer Sound designed the UPJ-1P for flexibility: whether oriented\r\nvertically or horizontally, it provides narrow, targeted coverage\r\nor wide coverage, with a simple turn of the VariO rotatable horn,\r\nchanging its 80° x 50° coverage pattern between the horizontal\r\nand vertical planes. With a 10-inch low-frequency neodymium\r\nmagnet cone driver and 3-inch diaphragm compression driver in\r\nthe high-frequency section, the UPJ-1P delivers uncompromising\r\nquality and coverage.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eSophisticated amplification and protection circuitry produce\r\nconsistent and predictable results in any system design. A\r\nproprietary Meyer Sound two-channel, class AB\/bridged power\r\namplifier with complementary MOSFET output stages provides a\r\ntotal output of 550 watts. Internal circuitry processes the incoming\r\naudio signal through an electronic crossover and correction\r\nfilters for flat phase and frequency response, as well as for driver\r\nprotection. Each channel has peak and rms limiters that prevent\r\ndriver over-excursion and regulate voice coil temperature. Limiter\r\nactivity is easy to monitor with the limit LEDs on the rear panel.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe modular, field-replaceable amplifier\/processing package\r\nalso incorporates Meyer Sound’s Intelligent AC power supply,\r\nwhich automatically adjusts for any line voltage worldwide and\r\nprovides both soft turn-on and transient protection. The UPJ-1P\r\nis compatible with the RMS remote monitoring system, which\r\noffers comprehensive monitoring of loudspeaker parameters from\r\na Mac or Windows-based computer running Compass control\r\nsoftware.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe UPJ-1P’s end plates are made of heavy duty, high-strength,\r\ncorrosion-resistant 6061-T6 aluminum. Strategically placed metric\r\nM8 threaded points allow simple mounting using eyebolts or\r\ndirectly to third-party pole assemblies. QuickFly rigging options\r\nincluding the MAAM-UPJ array adapter (also made from 6061-T6\r\naluminum), MUB-UPJ U-bracket and the MYA-UPJ mounting yoke\r\nassembly provide unprecedented mounting, flying and arraying\r\nflexibility.
