The horn is fixed within\r\nthe enclosure to ensure an accurate acoustic\r\ncrossover, phase response, and an incredibly consistent vertical pattern between the low\r\nand high frequencies. The Acheron’s 580 Hz\r\ncrossover point places most of the dialog in the\r\nhorn, which is ideal for cinema applications.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eBoasting a frequency response of 38 Hz to\r\n17 kHz at ±4 dB, as well as a generous peak\r\noutput of 139 dB with very low distortion, the\r\nAcheron stands up to the most demanding\r\nof digital soundtracks, maintaining a wide\r\ndynamic range and full fidelity. Designed and\r\nmanufactured at Meyer Sound's headquarters\r\nin Berkeley, California, the Acheron's drivers\r\ninclude one 15-inch low-frequency neodymium\r\nmagnet cone driver and one high-frequency\r\n4-inch diaphragm compression driver. The\r\ndrivers yield uncompromising quality and\r\nfull bandwidth, making the Acheron suitable\r\nfor small and medium theatres, re-recording\r\nstages, and production and postproduction\r\nfacilities.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe Acheron's sophisticated onboard amplification produces consistent and predictable results\r\nin any system design. The proprietary Meyer\r\nSound power amplifier is a two-channel, class\r\nAB\/H amplifier with complementary MOSFET\r\noutput stages that yields a total output of\r\n1685 W (3370 W peak). Built-in signal processing\r\nincludes an electronic crossover and correction\r\nfilters — to achieve a flat phase and frequency\r\nresponse — along with driver protection circuitry.
