To provide even more flexibility and features for professional recording engineers who use Mercury G810 Rack Systems, Mercury have added three New Mercury D Series G8 Modules and updated the Mercury D Series G8 Sum-It to aesthetically match the new G8 Modules.
The Mercury G8 Faders has 8 independent channels of transformerless line amps, with Active Faders (potentiometers). When the G8 Faders is installed in Channel 9 and 10 Slots of a Mercury G810 System I or II, the output of Channel 1-8 modules are routed to the G8 Fader before going to the Output of the G810 Rack System. This allows you to use a G8 Faders after each of the rest of the 8 module/channels to have more flexibility and control over your output gain and tone if desired. You have the ability to use the G8 Faders as a fader, to lower gain, or increase gain during a vocal, or to lower output and add more gain to get some musical break up. There is also 12 dB of gain 'in hand' with each G8 Faders to use with equalizers, compressors, or anything that needs a boost of clean, musical gain. Unity is at 3 o'clock and from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock there is 12 dB of gain to use if needed.
The G8 Fader, like all MDS G8 Modules, is proprietary to the Mercury G810 Rack Systems (I or II), no other 500 Rack has the capability to use these modules. Proudly Made in the USA.
