Product Description

Since its release, the Heritage Audio 19" rack-mount SYMPH EQ has pleasantly surprised every musician, sound designer and engineer that it has crossed paths with. Now, after months of careful development, the Heritage Audio SYMPH EQ Plug-in is here to bring your stereo mix to life with just a few minimal, yet surgical, changes to the frequency response. Its sound can only be described as tight, sweet, and natural, assuring that your mix will stand proudly with other popular songs currently heard, keeping it always fun and exciting to listen to.

Give your mix bus and master bus a whole new perception and sense of depth with just tiny tweaks!

MID/SIDE EQ FINALLY DONE RIGHT

The Mid/Side mode takes things to another level altogether. You really need to test it out to understand how quickly and efficiently you can mold your mix. By thickening and giving weight to all the material in the middle helps to solidify your tracks and steady the groove. While lightening up the information on the sides can extend the overall stereo image and provide more room for your mix to breathe.

ENHANCED USABILITY!

Whether you’re using the SYMPH EQ plug-in in Stereo, Mid/Side or even on a MONO signal, setting it up is actually a very quick process and provides excellent results as the EQ curves themselves are very gentle…and the use of parallel equalizing to obtain the desired response makes it have an exceptionally low phase deviation and negligible artifacts to produce a very natural effect.

ASYMPTOTIC EQUALIZER SECTION

  • Hi Frequency shelving: Frequency selectable 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 24 kHz
  • Boost/Cut: 10.5 dB maximum, in steps of 0.5 dB
  • Lo Frequency shelving: Frequency selectable  20, 60, 110, 220, 360 and 470 Hz
  • Boost/Cut: 10.5 dB maximum, in steps of 0.5 dB

FILTER SECTION

  • 12 dB/octave high pass filter, -3 dB point selectable at 15, 20, 47, 82  and 160 Hz
  • 12 dB/octave low pass filter, -3 dB point selectable at 10, 12, 18, 22 and 30 kHz
  • Side filter automatically turns into elliptical topology when M/S is engaged, as with disk cutters, at 6 dB/octave
