Product Description

The Gamechanger Audio AUTO REVERB offers you three expansive and precise reproductions of the most frequently used types of reverberation.

PLATE algorithm is characterized by slightly metallic and bright overtones typical of studio plate reverbs. The bright overtones can, of course, be tamed or exaggerated with the TONE and FILTER knobs.

SPRING algorithm precisely mimics the drippy response of guitar amplifier spring tanks. The tonal response is even more metallic than the PLATE reverb.

HALL algorithm can place your input signal in a physical space—from small reverb chambers to infinitely huge halls. The smooth diffusion can achieve synthesizer pad-type sounds on high DECAY settings.

CONTROLS

DECAY is used to adjust the length of the reverb. The maximum setting produces an infinitely-long decay.

TONE control adjusts the tonal character of reverb engine on the input stage, mimicking a change in the resonator’s physical properties. Adjusting or automating TONE will apply to all incoming signal without affecting the active reverb tails.

FILTER adjusts the reverb engines’ output signal. Contrary to the TONE knob, adjusting or automating FILTER will boost and/or shave off frequencies from the already-sounding reverb tails.

INFINITE DECAY AND SPREAD

Press & Hold both ON and AUTO footswitches for INFINITE DECAY, which momentarily extends the existing reverb DECAY into infinite reverb tails. Once you release both footswitches the reverb tails will decay over the currently set DECAY time. STEREO SPREAD switch determines the reverb width in stereo setups: OFF – Mono reverb; 50 – Medium stereo spread; 100 – Full stereo spread.

AUTO SERIES PEDALS

The AUTO Series fuses classic pedal design with groundbreaking parameter automation. It’s more than just an evolution in audio processing—it's a complete reimagining of what a pedal can be.

With every AUTO Series pedal, your performance becomes an integral part of the sound effect! Your touch, playing dynamics, and note choices shape the tones and textures, responding to your performance and evolving in real time. Hence, the sound design is intricately woven into your musical expression, guiding you on a journey of continuous discovery and wonder.

Changes in effects are often achieved using presets, expression pedals, and MIDI control. While each method has its own advantages, they can only take you so far. However, the AUTO Series provides a different approach to orchestrating effects, emphasizing playing your instrument.

Each pedal has two automation sources that you control with your performance. The DYNAMICS follows the volume nuances of your playing. It captures the character of your picking style as well as your instrument's loudness and decay. The PITCH tracker, on the other hand, detects note choices, bends, and vibratos. You wield the power to route these automations to any of the four effect knobs, setting the parameters in motion.

Customize the adjustments with the DYNAMICS and PITCH knobs and dedicated mode switches. Adjust the DYNAMICS decay time, introduce glide to PITCH tracking, and tailor the response curves to match your playing style and the desired effect.

Each of the primary effect knobs is paired with a corresponding smaller adjustment knob, also known as an attenuverter. This allows you to precisely dial in the variation amount and direction for each effect knob independently. Imagine the dynamic possibilities – a loud strum on a guitar can turn one knob clockwise significantly, while only slightly nudging another knob in the opposite direction. Explore the subtleties, from gentle parameter shifts to sweeping, full-parameter transformations.

You can play a note to set it as the center pitch by holding both footswitches. For instance, choosing A3 as the center pitch means that the PITCH modulation will activate only when surpassing A3. DYNAMICS features an adjustable volume threshold – automation occurs only with notes louder than the set threshold. You can personalize your effects experience with ease and precision.
