THE EASIEST WAY TO WORK IN PRO TOOLS | HD AND A SECOND DAW
Since Red 16Line provides both DigiLink connectors and Thunderbolt connections, it's now easier than ever to switch from Pro Tools | HD to a second DAW, without the need to reconfigure option cards in the interface. Simply change the host mode either in the remote control software, or on the device front panel and change DAWs in seconds.
FOCUSRITE'S BEST CONVERSION
High-performance audio conversion with over 118 dB dynamic range A-D and 121 dB dynamic range D-A (A-weighted). These converters have been expertly selected and calibrated to provide the best balance of sound quality, dynamic range and conversion latency in Focusrite's best-quality audio interface.
REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR WORKFLOW
Red's ultra-low round trip latency completely transforms your workflow. If you're used to having to build two different mixes – one using input monitoring to overdub, the other using the DAW for playback – the good news is that now, one is enough. Build your mix on the DAW and use it whether you're overdubbing (monitoring the input you're recording with the Focusrite Control software mixer) or playing back, with all your plug-ins in place, all the time.
EXTENSIVE ANALOG I/O
Red 16Line features 16 line inputs on D-sub, coupled with 16 line outputs and two main monitor outputs.
TWO OF FOCUSRITE'S BEST PREAMPS
The two digitally-controlled Red Evolution mic preamps provide up to 63 dB of ultra-clean gain along with stereo linking, individual phantom power, high-pass filter, phase reverse and Air mode: the name Focusrite has given to the sonic signature of the classic transformer ISA preamp.
NETWORKED AUDIO-ENABLED OUT OF THE BOX
With dual-port Dante connectivity, you will be able to expand your studio over Ethernet for more channels at higher sample rates, anywhere in your network, at lower latency and lower cost.
SOFTWARE MIXER WITH HARDWARE-FOCUSED WORKFLOW
Focusrite Control is our software mixer designed primarily for ease of use in quickly setting up both simple and complex monitoring and routing configurations, together with the ability to control your preamps remotely.
EXCLUSIVE OFFER FOR RED OWNERS
Focusrite have collaborated with Emmy Award-winning plug-in developer McDSP to deliver an unprecedented plug-in and interface bundle. All registered customers of a Focusrite Red 4Pre, Red 8Pre or Red 16Line Thunderbolt and Pro Tools | HD audio interface will receive a free 12-month subscription to McDSP's All Access HD plug-in pack, worth $499.99.

REDNET AM2 DANTE HEADPHONE AMP/LINE-OUT INTERFACE
The Focusrite RedNet AM2 is a compact stereo headphone amp and line out device providing additional functionality to Focusrite’s flagship range of Dante-based audio-over-IP interfaces. RedNet AM2, housed in a compact metal case with microphone stand mount, includes independent level controls for line (XLR) and headphone (1/4” TRS) outputs, and features superb monitor-quality conversion. RedNet AM2 can be powered over Ethernet (PoE) or via an external power supply (included) plugged into the rear.
HIGH POWER HEADPHONE AMP
Designed to drive a wide range of headphones, the headphone amplifier will drive high impedance (up to 600 ohms) headphones at substantial levels, making the unit suitable for use on-stage as well as front-of-house or in a studio environment. The XLR line-level outputs have software-switchable 0dBFS reference levels of +18 or +24dBu.
SUPERB-QUALITY D/A CONVERSION
RedNet AM2 includes a 2-channel Dante receiver based around Audinates Ultimo hardware and incorporates high-quality digital to analog conversion at standard sample rates from 44.1 to 96kHz for stereo network audio monitoring via the line level outputs – for use with loudspeakers for example – or headphones, both outputs offering better than 118dB dynamic range). The unit may be clocked either internally or via the Dante Network Master. Two large volume control knobs are provided for Headphone and Line output levels, the latter featuring a mute button with associated LED.
Other indicators show the presence of power, network and signal. The signal indicator shows red for 0dBFS, orange at -6dBFS and green at -42dBFS on either channel, while the network indicator illuminates when a valid network connection is present on either Port 1 or 2.
POWER OVER ETHERNET OR EXTERNAL PSU
The two locking etherCON connectors are connected to an integrated Gigabit network switch, allowing connection to the network and to and to daisy-chain to additional network devices such as a laptop running Dante Virtual Soundcard. RedNet AM2 is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or via a rear-panel barrel connector and included 12V DC power supply. The power LED indicates green when powered via PoE and red when the external power supply is in use.
MOUNTING OPTIONS
The compact unit, mounted in an enclosure based around a sturdy road-worthy aluminum extrusion, is fitted with non-slip feet, and can either sit securely on a flat surface or be mounted on top of a mic stand using the standard 3/8” BSW threaded bush incorporated in the base.
FULL DANTE INTEROPERABILITY
Like the entire RedNet product range, RedNet AM2 inter-operates seamlessly and fully with any other Dante audio-over-IP network components and infrastructure. Patching and interconnection can be managed with Dante Controller on Mac or PC.

Rednet X2P ETHERNET AUDIO INTERFACE
The Focusrite RedNet X2P integrates a high-quality Dante Interface to your system that provides cleaner power, two Red Evolution mic preamps, pristine audio clocking, stereo headphone amp and remote control access all through a single ethernet cable. The local input mixer allows the front user complete control of the interface and all its parameters, while the Control Lockout mode ensures no settings can be changed if the XP2 is being accessed remotely.
The two internal preamps can accept either Mic or Line level signal and include Focusrite’s revolutionary AIR mode, which simulates the sound of their classic input transformers and legendary ISA One Preamp.
Each of the channel's controls can be accessed through the top panel. The input mix will blend between your local session or the summed network. A dedicated headphone amp with volume control works with low and high impedance headphones.
Individual controls for channel one and two preamp gain, engaging the LINK button will make channel one equally control the gain on both channels. Each channel has the option for +48 V phantom power, phase, high-pass filter and AIR mode.
The LED screen will display input levels for channels one and two as well as the master output level. The Monitor section provides volume control over the line outputs with the option to solo just the input channels or mute the mix entirely.
