the Expert Sleepers Disting mk4 is a multifunction synthesis module that offers 84 distinct algorithms, including 16 “classic Disting” processes. Generate LFOs, VCOs, effects and more with Disting mk4s intuitive interface. Featuring an all new dot matrix screen and Micro SD card slot, Disting mk4 makes it easier than ever to bring your ideas to life.
UNLIMITED POWER
Disting mk4 packs an incredible range of functionality into a compact 4HP frame. Use the push-button S encoder to select from dozens of powerful algorithms. Selections are scrolled across the new dot matrix screen for quick and easy navigation.
Depending on the selected algorithm, the functionality of the rest of the module changes. The Z push-button encoder can control anything from tap tempo to threshold to quantize values. Although their specific purpose varies depending on the algorithm, ports A and B are outputs, ports X and Y are inputs, and port Z is a control input. Each port features a multi-colored LED that changes to convey the function of each port over time, with red LEDs indicating a positive voltage and blue indicating a negative voltage—perfect for visualizing the tempo of an LFO.
MICRO SD
Disting mk4s built-in front-loading Micro SD card can be used for audio and MIDI playback. With full control over audio signals, you can tweak the pitch, speed and even direction of playback. Use recordings from the MicroSD card as a wavetable VCO to create unique sounds. After dialing in the perfect sound, capture the moment and record it directly to a Micro SD card using the built-in audio recorder algorithm.
