You picked the best cymbals, you chose your favorite wood tones, you obsessed over your snare sound — your drum tunings are perfect and your kit is immaculate. So why would you even think about anything other than an Earthworks DK7? And now with the 2nd generation DM20s and SR25 overheads, the all-new 2nd generation DK7 is even more luxurious. Even if you're just recording your practice sessions at home, your drums deserve this level of quality and craftsmanship.
NEW ACTIVE ELECTRONICS
Earthworks have hardened the internal electronics to draw less phantom power, and we've built in additional protection features to safeguard against accidental hot swapping. We all know that you shouldn't plug in a condenser microphone with the power engaged but we also know that's an inevitably in the field sometimes. These new stacked changes make the DK7 Gen 2 more robust, more compatible, and more user-friendly.
NEW RIM MOUNTING SYSTEM
Everything about the DK7 Gen 2 is designed for speed — and that includes the speed of set up and tear down. The new and improved rim mounting solution for the tom and snare drums saves massive amounts of time while delivering a much better user experience. And it's compatible with even more kits and percussive instruments.
SMALLER STRONGER CASE
The new SKB road case is more rugged, more durable, and easier to pack, load and ship.
