chandler-ltd2-mono-compressor-pair-712-721-used
Chandler LTD2 Mono Compressor Pair #712/721 (Used)
The Chandler Limited LTD-2 is based on the 2254 compressor which is the class A predecessor to the 2264 and 33609. Construction is similar to the LTD-1. The same audio circuit with a modified set of controls (i.e. attack times not on original and more and faster release times). The front panel controls are as follows- 20db gain make up, threshold, attack (6 positions), release (6 positions including auto), stereo link, and bypass.

The Chandler Limited LTD-2 is a hand-wired 2254/2264/33609 that has been handmade using parts and build techniques from the original manufacture of the modules. Grounding, wiring techniques, original transformers, transistors, and much more contribute to the special sound of these units and have been painstakingly recreated in each LTD-2.

The LTD-2 uses the control circuit from the family of compressors, but retains the Class A amps and transformers from the the 2254 modules. We add a six position attack switch which none of the vintage types had, and speed up the release times, which makes the units much more versatile. Warm and creamy and valuable in many situations!

The control functions and applications seem to be more similar to those of the venerable Neve 32264a and 33609, with the thick and rich audio qualities of the Neve 2254a and Neve 2254e. On the whole, this unit is more than just another "Neve-a-like"... it takes the original Neve 2254 concept to the next level of tone and flexibility.

Connections
All connections are transformer balanced with pin 2 hot.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0658/8848/5479/files/chandler-ltd2-mono-compressor-pair-712-721-used_134670_1_9aea12eb-816b-4ef7-a302-92f0a383de2c.jpg?v=1787093615
