cedar-audio-apex-adaptive-limiter-plug-in-electronic-delivery
CEDAR Audio APEX Adaptive Limiter Plug-in - Electronic Delivery

CEDAR Audio invented the modern Adaptive Limiter. The CEDAR Audio APEX is built on CEDAR's pioneering Emmy winning technology and gives engineers precise control over their audio, enabling them to increase the apparent loudness whilst preserving transparency, soundstage and depth. Conventional limiters control the loudness of signals by suppressing peak amplitudes when they would otherwise exceed user-defined thresholds. Unlike these, CEDAR's Adaptive Limiters use a unique adaptive algorithm that calculates continually varying EQ profiles for each audio channel. These constrain the amplitude of the output while retaining the integrity of the input signal.

ADAPTIVE SPECTRAL LIMITING

At the heart of APEX lies CEDAR’s Spectral Limiting algorithm, the 'secret ingredient'. Whether you want a classic single-band feel, detailed multi-frequency shaping, or innovative Adaptive Limiting, APEX delivers.

Spectral Control enables engineers to obtain a wide range of 'colors' from richer, weightier sounds at higher settings, to brighter or smoother sounds at lower ones

Temporal LF/HF Controls determine the rate at which the profile is permitted to change at low and high frequencies

Link Control gives engineers control of the audio soundstage, providing everything from independent channel limiting to perfectly linked gain reduction

GREATER PRECISION, GREATER TRANSPARENCY

APEX offers higher resolution processing at low frequencies than ever before.
