Product Description
3 band discrete mic pre/EQ, switchable top end, lo/hi pass filters, phase reverse and phantom power. The Calrec PQ-15 is one of a number of modules made by British firms in the 60s and 70s to meet the stringent standards of the BBC for broadcast consoles. Considered by many to be one of the best of this breed, the PQ-15 was held in high esteem by David Marquette, whose Mercury GrandPreQ15S is meant to emulate the sound of these classic British pre's. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and when a product is imitated in the audio world, it's a great indication that the original version is pretty special. Try the Calrec preamp yourself and find out why.
