The BURL Audio B16 Mothership is a 2U, 2-slot version of the revolutionary B80 Mothership, Burl Audio’s signature product. Simply put, the B80 Mothership has redefined digital recording, and now the legendary sound can be found in a smaller, more portable B16 Mothership. Utilizing technology developed for the B80, the new B16 Mothership uses the exact same I/O cards as the B80 Mothership, continuing Burl Audio's deep dedication to analog, Class A circuitry. The result is not only heard, but it is also felt. The Mothership stands out from every other interface on the market not because it is colored, but because it does not sterilize the source.
Using a card-based system, and a heavy-duty 2U chassis, the B16 Mothership employs 2 daughter card slots with an internal power supply and your choice of Motherboard for Digilink, MADI, Dante, or SoundGrid connectivity. Every ADC channel uses a proprietary BX1 transformer and every DAC channel has the latest Burl Audio discrete op-amp, BOPA4.

BMB6 AES/EBU MOTHERBOARD
The BMB6 features 8 channels of AES/EBU I/O connectivity. Designed exclusively for the B16, the BMB6 provides an easy interface to any AES/EBU device. If you don’t need high channel count, the B16 with the BMB6 is a great way to go. The the B16-BMB6 with a BAD8 and BDA8 is an amazing 8 channel I/O. The B16-BMB6 with a BAD4M and a BDA4M with switchable input and output transformers is an incredible 4 channel I/O solution for mastering.

Specifically designed for mixing and mastering, the BAD4M uses the latest BURL NextGen analog technology for superior fidelity and clarity.

BDA4M-1114 DAUGHTER CARD
The BURL Audio BDA4M-1114 is a mastering-grade DAC with stepped attenuators and switchable output transformers. Specifically designed for mixing and mastering, the BDA4M uses the latest BURL NextGen analog for superior fidelity and clarity.
The BDA4M, switchable transformer coupled, 4-channel digital-to-analog converter Daughter Card for the B80 MOTHERSHIP is the result of over 25 years of R&D experience in pro audio digital and analog design. Following on the success of the B2 BOMBER DAC and the BDA8 for the MOTHERSHIP, the BDA4M utilizes BOPA11 and BOPA14 opamps on channels 1-2 and channels 3-4, respectively. They are followed by the renowned BX5 output transformer used in the B32 VANCOUVER MIX BUS.
