Most of the sounds were recorded in authentic medieval environments in Germany. Boom went out to visit medieval heritage sites like ruins and castles. For the market place recordings Boom went to farmers markets around the cathedral in Mainz, Germany that was built around 975 A.D. A perfect place to capture the spirit of medieval market places. On a trip Boom recorded the hard life of people living in this era. Boom recorded medieval farm sounds like animals, mechanics of old tools, hurly-burly on marketplaces, blacksmiths hammering metal and working with wood, church bells, voices and a lot more.
