This bundle includes the Blue Dragonfly Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Studio Condenser Microphone and the Warm Audio WA12 MKII Single Channel Mic Preamp
The Blue Dragonfly Large-Diaphragm Microphone features a cardioid condenser design and can be used with vocal and general instrument studio recording. It contains a pressure-gradient, single-membrane, large-diaphragm capsule and uses a 6-micron thick mylar film. The film is sputtered in a mixture of pure gold and aluminum and is enclosed in a rotating spherical grill. The rotating grill allows for optimum mic placement in small spaces and for maximum sonic quality.
The microphone offers Class A discrete circuitry and a transformerless output, resulting in a clean, quiet audio signal path with minimum coloration or noise. The Dragonfly's neutral signal and wide frequency response allow the microphone to record vocals, drums, percussion, electric guitar, and bass, as well as saxophones and stringed instruments. The cardioid polar pattern is effective on rejecting off-axis noise due to room ambiance, monitors, instruments, etc.
WA12 MKII SINGLE CHANNEL MIC PREAMP

- Tone button – switches the input impedance from 600 Ohms to 150 - changes the tone of both the mic and high-Z inputs
- Mic-level balanced XLR input
- 2 Meg Ohm true Hi-Z input on front panel sends instrument signal through entire circuit including both CineMag transformers and the discrete opamps - great for guitars, bass, keyboards and other instruments that have a 1/4″ output jack
- Balanced outputs: XLR and 1/4″ TRS
- 48 volt phantom power
- LED meter gain indication
- Output attenuation control (after the CineMag output transformer) allows for driving the preamp and transformers into saturation
- Switchable 115/230 volt IEC power inlet
