Product Description

The New and Improved Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt is Here

Apogee’s new and improved Ensemble comes with Thunderbolt 2 technology, which offers incredibly low latency, ultra high efficiency (very low CPU load on your host computer) and an extremely user-friendly experience. Packed with eight stepped gain mic pres, top quality A/D and D/A conversion, full monitor controller functionality and more, the new Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt is one of the most refined user interfaces yet.

Improving on a Classic

The original Ensemble was created in 2007, and offered the audio world new possibilities with a simple personal studio interface. Improving on the Ensemble for 2014, Apogee has stepped up the interface’s monitor controller functionality with talkback, front panel JFET guitar I/O, two headphone outputs and up to 30 x 34 of analog & digital I/O connectivity.

New Technology for a New Era of Recording

With Thunderbolt 2 connectivity, the Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt offers two Thunderbolt 2 ports that are essential for daisy-chaining other peripherals, including 4k monitors. The driver is custom-built for maximum speed and minimum CPU load time. The Ensemble Thunderbolt is revolutionary for how it reacts with Macs, revolving around an Apogee-customized DMA engine that can read and write audio to your computer’s memory without even using your computer’s CPU. This frees up your computer to run multiple plug-ins at one time with no slip-ups.
