Product Description

The AmpRx Backline 1200 is a must-have for achieving the absolute best tone from your tube amplifiers. Use the Backline 1200's flexible attenuation options to dial the 120V/AC wall current to the optimal level for your amp. This 10 amp voltage attenuator supplies up to 1200 W and is designed for powering up to three tube amplifiers simultaneously. Its 2U rack-mount chassis conveniently fits into your studio or live rack.

GETTING THE BEST FROM YOUR TUBE AMP

Earlier power tube saturation equals earlier break-up and better response. For the tube tone purist, no pedal or speaker attenuator can come close to replicating the heavenly response of dry, purely saturated tubes. Pedals and speaker attenuators have their place, but they color your tone- they don’t create it. Tube amplifiers respond more harmonically and touch sensitive with optimized voltage. Placing these circuits back into balance reveals the authentic tone fundamental of the amp and gives you a tone that can truly blossom. Lower internal voltages = lower dissipation = longer component life. It's important that the components inside your amp (like the tubes) are receiving specific voltages (set by the tube manufacturer) in order to work properly and stay healthy.
