Product Description

The Altec 1591A uses separate mic and line inputs that can be used individually or mixed together. The mic pre has 90 db of gain, making it great for ribbon mics. The line input is transformer balanced, with 40 db of gain, and can be used as a second mic input for a dynamic mic. The main output is also transformer balanced. The opto compressor has a selectable gain reduction ratio of 5:1 or 10:1. Release time is either .5 or 1.5 seconds. The unit can be powered by a 12 or 24 volt battery.
