Introducing the latest addition to Focal's flagship ST6 line of studio monitors - the updated Trio6. Following the success of the Trio6 Be in 2015, renowned for its reference-quality sound and innovative beryllium tweeter, Focal has continued to impress with the Twin6 and Solo6 models. The new Trio6 joins the lineup with refined design, enhanced performance, and improved sonic accuracy.

Focal's new Trio6 stands out in the brand's flagship ST6 line, combining the original's strengths with enhanced performance and practical flexibility. And don't let its looks fool you—while the new Trio6 may appear similar to its predecessor, it features several noteworthy sonic enhancements that set it apart.
The biggest change is the upgraded 1.5-inch beryllium inverted dome tweeter, which now produces less resonance at high volumes, making it even more accurate. Plus, the newly optimized baffle ensures lower directionality, providing precise sound across a wide sweet spot.
It's not just the tweeter that got an upgrade—the 5.5-inch midrange driver now features Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) construction, cutting distortion in the crucial 1-3 kHz range by 50% and enhancing midrange transparency. And just like on the original Trio6 Be, the midrange driver and tweeter are housed in an integrated rotating baffle which is sealed and ported so that the acoustical properties remain consistent in vertical and horizontal configurations.
The 8-inch woofer retains Focal’s “W” cone construction, with an enlarged dustcap for refined damping and dispersion. The cabinet design features some improvements too, including an enlarged laminar port, which extends the low-end to 35 Hz and reduces distortion.
One of the most talked-about features of the original model was Focal's innovative Focus Mode, which is back and better than ever—this time with two different settings. The original Focus Mode turns the Trio6 into a 2-way monitor by removing the woofer to produce a limited frequency range of 80 Hz - 40 kHz. The added second mode takes the tweeter out of the equation as well, further limiting the frequency range to just 100 Hz-15 kHz. It's like getting three monitors for the price of one!
Like its counterparts, the Trio6 features a variable high-pass crossover and a parametric 160 Hz EQ to tackle reflections. Plus, the low- and high-frequency shelf EQs at 250 Hz and 4.5 kHz offer further tonal customization to help dial in the perfect balance in any environment.
